BGHC RFP FOR REP & HOUSE LEAGUE JERSEYS
The BGHC is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals to select a supplier from which to purchase jerseys for our league participants.
The objective of the BGHC in issuing this RFP is to identify a company that provides the best overall value and experience in driving results, taking into account quality, cost, service, timing and other related factors in delivering these products.

BGHC HOUSE LEAGUE DAY
Welcome to the 2016-2017 BGHC House League Hockey Season!
To celebrate, the BGHC hosted a fun CUDAS House League Day where more than 450 young female hockey players met their coach and team mates; received their jersey; and brought food donations to kick-start The Annual Gift of Giving Back Food Drive!

ANNUAL WINCH GROUP COMMUNITY EQUIPMENT DRIVE
Saturday, November 5
9:00 - 1:00 p.m.
Mainway Arena Parking Lot
All kids deserve the chance to be stars! The BGHC is proud to support the Winch Group in its 7th Annual Community Equipment Drive. Volunteers will be accepting new and gently used sporting equipment and monetary donations on Saturday, November 5th at Mainway Arena in the parking lot between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Donations will support youth in need in Northern Ontario First Nations settlements and local CAS. Please see attached for more information.
World Girls Hockey Weekend

Long Game — Saturday, October 8, 2016
The OWHA is once again hosting World Girls Hockey Weekend that includes the World Girls Hockey Weekend Long Game. This is one hockey game that spans the entire country and moves from province to province as the day progresses, with a cumulative score running for the entire game.
This continues to be a great event and a number of our BGHC girls were selected to play on Team OWHA. We encourage you to read all about this on the OWHA website at www.owha.on.ca and apply to be part of the team. House league players are especially encouraged, but the application process is open to all girls aged Atom through Midget.

HOUSE LEAGUE PLAYERS INFORMATION
Parents, please take note of the following regarding your daughter's house league registration.
On Ice Help / Coaches
All team volunteers must complete and submit specific volunteer screening documents PRIOR TO being rostered to a team. Please refer to our VOLUNTEER CERTIFICATION page for all details.
If you know you will be a volunteer, please start the process of obtaining your certifications NOW. The BGHC reimburses the cost of all certifications properly obtained, subject to a maximum of $25 for a Police Check.
Teams will be made up early September, with your coaches calling you sometime the third week of September.

REP PLAYER OPENINGS FOR BURLINGTON RESIDENTS
The following BGHC Rep teams are looking to add a player as described below. If your daughter is interested in being considered for one of these openings, please email the appropriate Head Coach.
It is intended that these openings will be filled by existing BGHC Rep or house league players, so please do not feel that if your daughter is already on a team that she cannot indicate her interest. The BGHC support and promotes player movement within its teams to fill openings when they are available.

House League Registration for the 2016-2017 season is NOW CLOSED. Planning and team building has begun. If you missed the registration deadline and still wish to register, please contact the Director of Houseleague at email@example.com. He will advise you if there are still spots available and direct you accordingly.

Featured story on Girls Hockey aired on TV Cogeco's Halton Insider, this past week. It is an excellent profile on the growing importance of girls hockey and provides a number of perspectives (parents, players, coaches and even the OJHL commissioner).
2015 RECEIPTS FOR INCOME TAX PURPOSES
Your receipt for fees paid for the 2015-2016 season was emailed to you at the time of registration, assuming that you paid online at that point in time.
If you cannot locate the emailed receipt OR if you paid via cheque, you can locate the receipt within the ITSports Members Area ie. the online registration system. This is a self-serve process. The BGHC will not be emailing any receipts to members.
