HOMETOWN BURLINGTON HOCKEY
BGHC Members and BGHC Resident Families,
The BGHC wants to be the destination of choice for EVERY Burlington resident female hockey player in the Novice through Junior (Intermediate) age groups. We are in a unique position to offer girls this full competitive experience. To this end, the Board wants to communicate now that the BGHC is prepared to ice the following teams for the 2017-2018 season. We can and will provide an attractive, competitive level of hockey for existing Burlington resident Rep players, should we have sufficient numbers and skill level to do so.
We can’t achieve the above without YOU. Together, we can provide Burlington girls with a great place to play hockey, make and maintain friendships and grow as responsible citizens of the Burlington community. As coaches are announced, starting in December, do not hesitate to contact them.
The Gift of Giving Back Food Drive
Every shot is a chance to make a difference.
This year, thousands of Burlington athletes - including 750+ CUDAS - came together to make a difference at the 11th Annual Gift of Giving Back Food Drive - the largest food drive of its kind in Canada.
We'd like to thank everyone for their incredible hard work. Thanks to you, we raised an astounding 47,000+ lbs. of food, surpassing our total from last year! In two days, together with our partners (Burlington Eagles, Burlington Cougars, M.M Robinson, Burlington Mall, FirstOntario and the Burlington Fire Department), we collected 489,101 pounds of food (that is 187,100 more than last year)!
Due to your outstanding efforts, we were able to fill the cupboards for our community partners: The Salvation Army, Carpenter Hospice, Halton Women's Place, Partnership West and the Compassion Society.
Together - we truly made a difference. Well done CUDAS!!
BGHC HOUSE LEAGUE DAY
Welcome to the 2016-2017 BGHC House League Hockey Season!
To celebrate, the BGHC hosted a fun CUDAS House League Day where more than 450 young female hockey players met their coach and team mates; received their jersey; and brought food donations to kick-start The Annual Gift of Giving Back Food Drive!
Big thanks to all our volunteers and partners - Orangetheory Fitness, F1rst Ontario Credit Union, Jimmy Tee's and Healthquarters!
See you at the rink!
